32 is the new 16

Until 2024, most System Integrators (SIs) would state 16GB of RAM is enough, especially if you are mainly just gaming. While it does matter what you are doing individually on your PC, there are enough people starting to do more what we’re calling “gaming and etc.” like running a Plex server, RGB software, torrenting, streaming, video editing, chatting, Spotify, or having multiple browser windows open while they are gaming.

So if you are doing the “gaming and etc.”, we are recommending 32GB of RAM going forward. More if you want to run AI locally. If you have 16GB and everything is fine, then you are fine, do you. But if you are purchasing a new computer, you don’t want to have to upgrade in a year or so if you are just doing “gaming and etc.” too.

Here is a picture of a system just running an Operating System (windows 11) and several browser windows/tabs:

While the cache is reusable and there is almost 8GB of RAM still available, we’d rather you had room for future growth than quickly running out of memory right after you purchase one of our systems.
